Postpartum doulas are knowledgeable professionals who assist families during the critical period after the birth of their baby. They mother the mother and offer physical, emotional and informational support to the family as well as practical help. Doulas are trained to know when things aren't progressing normally and to suggest appropriate resources for help.
The following services are included in postpartum care :
Infant Care Instruction including:bathing, feeding, diapering, sleeping, umbilical cord care and circumcision care, multiple baby care
Moral SupportAccompaniment to doctor's visits. Household help. Sibling Care.
Refer you to Lactation Counseling Services
supports your needs and goals for feeding your baby. I educate you before delivery as what to expect and helpful starter hints as well as answer any questions you might have. I also do "in home" counseling after delivery to help you attain your goal. experienced at working with mother and baby when difficulties arise.
